Frequently Asked Questions

What type of poetry will I receive?
Each month brings a different voice — from the transcendental verses of Walt Whitman and Ralph Waldo Emerson to the intimate observations of Emily Dickinson. Discover the mystical poetry of Rumi and Hafez, the lyrical beauty of Keats and Wordsworth, the powerful testimony of Langston Hughes and Paul Laurence Dunbar, and the visionary works of William Blake. Every poem is drawn from the public domain, ensuring timeless quality and enduring resonance.
When will I receive my first poem?
Poems are mailed on the 10th of each month. Your delivery date will vary by location.
What if my poem gets lost in the mail?
Please allow 14 business days from the shipping date for your poem to arrive before contacting Field & Verse.
Is this an auto-renewing subscription?
Yes, payment will automatically recur monthly on the 10th. You can manage your subscription in the membership portal.
Can I give a membership as a gift?

I don’t like the poem of the month. Can I get a refund?
We understand that poetry is deeply personal, and not every poem may resonate with you. While we do not provide refunds, we recommend passing it along to a friend, your lover, your crush, a stranger, or leave it in a library book or public space for someone else to enjoy!
I am a poet — can you share my poem with the collective?
Maybe! Message us if you are a published poet and you would like us to consider sharing your poem as part of a monthly mailing.
What do I do with my poem print?
Frame it! Use it as a book mark. Host an IRL poetry gathering centered around the poem. Visit @fieldandverse on Instagram for inspiration and to share your ideas!
Where do you mail?
Field & Verse ships to the US, Canada, and the UK.
What’s with the pomegranates?
Field & Verse was born of contemplation on Rumi’s poem A Great Wagon and draws inspiration from the imagery of these lines:
“Come to the orchard in Spring. There is light and wine, and sweethearts in the pomegranate flowers.”
